Join master wood turner Elmer Miller—an accomplished artisan whose work has been featured in art shows across the country—for an immersive and practical introduction to this timeless craft.

As a lifelong learner and PhD-trained instructor, Elmer offers a professional, supportive environment in his fully equipped wood shop located in Murdock, Nebraska. His Introduction to Wood Turning course is designed to build both confidence and competence, guiding you from the basics to creating your very own turned piece.

Who It’s For:

Beginners looking to explore the fundamentals of wood turning in a small, personalized setting.

Course Format:

• Total of 8 hours (start time @8:30AM - end time @4:30PM)
• Lunch provided
• Combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience
• Taught in a fully equipped, professional wood shop
• Each student will create and take home a handcrafted turned item

Class Size:

Maximum of 2 students per session to ensure individualized instruction

Cost:

$299 per student (includes instruction, materials, safety equipment, lunches and beverages)

• Full refund available for cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the class
• 50% refund for cancellations made within 7 days of class
